We provide a supervised, structured programme of farming-related activities which includes animal husbandry (livestock, small animals, poultry), crop and vegetable production and estate skills. We provide a day service for participants to attend the farm as part of a structured care, rehabilitation, therapeutic or educational programme, which can lead to in-house or more formal qualifications if required. These qualifications can be invaluable to young people especially when they are not in full time education or taking their GCSE's.

Our first site Hillcrescent Farm, based in North Warwickshire was founded in  2012, and it has grown and developed over the years, however, still maintains its unique family run, friendly atmosphere. Hillcrescent Farms sister site, Whitegates Farm, located in the village of Harbury, close to Leamington Spa and Warwick is new to us for 2019 and we are very excited to develop the site along with the help from our Day Farmers.

Katie and Stuart run the farm and are both fully qualified teachers, they have vast experience working with vulnerable groups of people. They are always there with a friendly face to welcome you.

Our day service provision is suitable for young people and adults aged 16 and over with a learning difficulty, autism or mental health condition.

People attending our day service take part in an animal based activity programme which links to work and social skills in a therapeutic multisensory environment. Although our day to day activities rotate around land based subjects, building upon social skills is of equal importance in our delivery. Making friends, learning how to navigate friendships, gain important work skills is a big part of our provision. Encouraging independence in a supportive manner is imperative and being able to facilitate these skills in our environment is made easier with the help from all from the wonderful animals.

People attending our day service enjoy working in an outdoor environment, taking part in animal husbandry tasks, animal handling, exercising animals, horticulture and conservation tasks as a team and independently.

New Pastures works with Warwickshire County Council and is listed on the framework for 'short breaks'
